Volleyball is a team game played with a ball and net.

in 1985. He was director of athletics at the YMCA and wanted to emulate
basketball and came up with volleyball. Since then the rules have changed here
and there, but it quickly became a popular sport at the YMCA. The name
volleyball came when a man named Alfred Halstead noticed that the game had a
volleyball nature. It was confirmed with the name volleyball and the name
affixed. The game was first played at the Olympics in the 1964 edition. Japan
won the first gold medal in the women's volleyball category, while the USSR won

• Only six players should be on the volleyball court
at any one time. 3 in the front row and 3 in the back row.

• Players cannot hit the ball twice in a row (a block
is not considered a blow).

• A ball is eliminated if it comes in contact with the
antenna, any of the cables or nets outside the antenna, the floor area
